Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS) is one of Australia’s largest and most comprehensive, youth specific community service organisation that enables young people experiencing serious disadvantage to access the resources and support they require to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Residential Youth Worker
Positions available across Fitzroy, Geelong and Birribi sites
- Casual hours per fortnight

The purpose of the Residential Youth AOD Worker role is to work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting with vulnerable young people in need of support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a Residential Youth AOD Worker you will be required to work a 24 hour roster which includes day, evening and night shifts.
Allied Health Practitioner
Collingwood

Exciting opportunity to work at Collingwood headspace supporting young people between the ages of 12-25. This role is an independent role as an Allied Health Practitioner delivering mental health support under the Better Health Medicare bulk bill model.

Senior Practitioner

The KEYS (Keep Embracing Your Success) Specialist Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Practitioner role is funded by the Department of Families Fairness and Housing (DFFH), delivered in partnership with Anglicare to provide a specialist Youth AOD service to young people involved in the child protection system and living in the KEYS residential therapeutic residential homes. The KEYS AOD practitioner will provide support, advice and planning guidance to staff in the Northwest region of KEYS homes through specialist secondary consultation, AOD education, AOD assessment, referral and linkages.
YSAS in conjunction with Anglicare deliver AOD Support Services for young people aged 12 – 17 years who experience complex emotional and behavioural difficulties and are currently in residential care in the KEYS program. The KEYS AOD Practitioner will be based in Sunshine and will be a part of the sunshine AOD team.
Youth Participation and Communication Officer
Collingwood
- Part-time (30.4 Hours per fortnight)
- Fixed Term until December 2026

This role is based at headspace Collingwood and is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the headspace Collingwood Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). The YAC is an essential component of the headspace model, and members are involved in a consultative capacity at all levels of service. Their role is to ensure our headspace is youth appropriate, acceptable, accessible and sustainable. Members are provided with ongoing training and development, and the opportunity to use their youth voice to improve and develop local services. This role will also create and implement headspace Collingwood’s social media strategy and manage the website.
Youth Vocational Specialist Worker

- Full Time (76 Hours per fortnight) | Fixed Term – 12 months

To work as part as an integrated team within YSAS/headspace Frankston to provide vocational assistance to young people with mental illness up to the age of 25 within the Frankston region. The aim of this program is to improve educational and employment outcomes for young people with mental illness.
The IPS Program will help address the additional barriers to employment faced by this cohort. As such the vocational specialist will need to have advanced assessment and planning skills as well as draw on a range of interventions which will enhance the likelihood of vocational engagement for participants. The successful applicant will need to be able to contribute to the development of the program as well as participate in program evaluation activities. This role requires someone who is dynamic and can build the networks and relationships required to enhance vocational outcomes.
