Our Impact
The difference we make
Thanks to our generous supporters, disadvantaged young people across Australia are accessing the support and resources they need to take control of their health and wellbeing. This is done primarily through connecting young people to youth workers who work tirelessly to understand the needs of each individual and provide access to the support and tools to get their life back on track.
Youth Workers have the passion and skill required to help these young people to:
Overcome mental health and substance use issues
Find safe and secure housing
Participate in work or study
Reconnect with family and help others
Resolve legal issues
Develop an identity as a valuable contributor to community life

Detox & rehabilitation treatment
One of the services provided by YSAS is detox and rehabilitation treatment. Short and long-term residential stays help young people experiencing substance use issues learn relapse prevention strategies, how to minimise harm, improve their physical health, develop life skills and identify goals.
