Stronger Sisters Evaluation Report 2023

Stronger Sisters is a women’s healing camp provided to young Aboriginal women aged between 16 to 26 years old who have experiences as victim survivors and/or users of family and intimate partner violence. Stronger Sisters was facilitated on Boon Wurrung / Bunurong Country between 20-23. September 2022 and involved 8 young women participants. The Stronger Sisters Women’s Healing camp used a range of activities that were tailored to the cultural wellbeing, developmental needs and complex life experiences of participants.

Family Violence Capability Framework

Between December 2018 and January 2020, Family Safety Victoria engaged the Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS) to deliver a project focused on translating the “Responding to Family Violence Capability Framework” into the Youth Alcohol and Other Drugs (Youth AOD) setting alongside existing AOD workforce capabilities.

Festival of Ideas Summary

Between the 11th-16 November 2020, YSAS hosted an online live streamed YSAS Festival of Ideas to share innovative, inspiring and thought provoking ideas with YSAS workforce and other members of the Victorian and Interstate Youth, and Youth Drug and Alcohol workforce.
