Sometimes it can feel like you’re completely alone in the world, like no one understands what you’re going through, BUT YOU’RE NOT ALONE. There are lots of young people who are also dealing with situations just like you.
Don’t feel weird about asking for help.
YSAS alone works with over 2000 young people in Victoria every year who are faced with various challenges like drug and alcohol use, mental illness, family problems and social disconnection.
If you don’t feel like you’re getting the support you need from home or school, getting involved with a program like YSAS can provide a network of people who share your experiences and youth workers who get what you’re going through.
It can be really difficult to ask for help. Similarly it can be hard at first to talk about your experiences. But it gets easier! You just need to take that first brave step and go from there. Online can be a really good place to start, you can read other people’s stories or share your own experiences here.
If you need to talk about anything at all, you can call us directly on 24 hour free YoDAA Line: 1800 458 685.
