To work with young people is a privilege and a continual source of inspiration.
Through our first 15 years of operation and as we work alongside thousands of young people tackling their alcohol, drug and mental health issues, we’ve learnt that success comes in all shapes and forms. Small wins come on a daily basis and with every step forward, a momentum is built towards sustainable change.
These 15 stories are a tiny slice of a day in the life of YSAS. Our clients are often seen in the shadows, stigmatized by their drug use. But in every tale, our workers skill, respect and ability to see young people in a different light shines through. And most of all, it’s thanks to the courage, resilience and openness of the young people we work with that make us humble, thankful and proud.
At YSAS, we’re looking forward to the next 15 years, to more successes both big and small, and to more inspiration on a daily basis.
